How to Record and Submit Your Video

To enter the Win Free Rides for a Year Contest, please record a short video (30 seconds or less). Before you begin, wipe your camera lens for a clear picture and include the following:

Must have worked one full year from
June 1, 2024 - May 31, 2025.
Must have a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
one full year from June 1, 2024 - May 31, 2025.
No more than eight non-consecutive SICK/FMLA days off
used from June 1, 2024 - May 31, 2025.
No unexcused absences from June 1, 2024 – May 31, 2025.
No more than fourteen consecutive FMLA, Sickness &
Accident (SA), or Workers’ Compensation (WC) days off
used from June 1, 2024 - May 31, 2025.
No Preventable Accidents from June 1, 2024 – May 31, 2025.
No suspensions as disciplinary action from
June 1, 2024 - May 31, 2025.

A selection committee will determine eligibility
and review all Roadeo Operator applications.

FAQ's

SMART is giving away twelve, 31-Day Regional bus passes. The passes will provide unlimited rides on SMART’s fixed-route and DDOT’s services for one year.

Official Contest Rules

Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must be a current SMART transit system rider.
Only one entry per contestant. (Crossing county lines does not increase eligibility or count as multiple entries.)
Employees of SMART, its affiliates, advertising agencies, and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate.

Entry Period
The Contest begins Monday, December 1, 2025, and ends at 11:59 p.m. on Monday, December 15, 2025. Entries received after this time will not be considered.

How to Enter
To qualify, participants must complete both steps below:

Complete the online entry form, including:
- First and Last Name
- County of Residence
- Route(s) regularly taken
- Why do you use SMART
- The impact public transit has had on your life
Submit a 30-second video that includes:
- Your first name
- County of residence
- Route(s) you take
- Why do you use SMART
- The impact SMART and public transit have made in your life

Both the survey and video must be submitted to be entered into the drawing.

Prize
Each winner will receive twelve (12) Regional 31-Day SMART Passes (one per month), equivalent to a full year of free rides on SMART and DDOT fixed routes. The twelve, 31-Day regional passes have a value of $840. Winners should consult with tax professionals regarding their potential tax liability.

Winner Selection

Three (3) winners will be selected.
Winners will be chosen by SMART from eligible entries based upon the creativity shown and messaging portrayed in the videos. Winners are not chosen by chance or at random.
SMART’s Customer Care department will notify winners via email and/or phone by Friday, December 19, 2025.

Rights & Permissions

By participating, I permit the Suburban Mobility Authority for Regional Transportation (SMART) to use photographic images, audio recordings, and/or video recordings of me for promotional purposes. I understand that the images and recordings belong to SMART, and I will not receive payment or any other compensation in connection with the pictures and recordings. I release SMART from any and all liability that may or could arise from the use of the images and/or recordings.
